PERSONAL REFLECTION

Personal Reflection

When I started reading this book I thought of it as a boring book. I kept putting the book down I just didn't found it that interesting at the beginning . But later on I got really hooked on the book. I found that this book relates to me. I think that as a Polish immigrant I sometimes try to loose my Polish identity. I also feel that this book really relates to me because also I had some tough time in Poland, I had big family problems. America was like the new life for me just like for the mothers. I also like the fact that I could not only relate to the mothers but also to the daughters. Also I found the stories that the mothers would tell to be fascinating. The stories were something that I really didn't expect, they blow my mind away. Also some of the mothers were really strong individuals they remind me of my grandmother, which was really cool to see my grandmother in those characters. My grandmother also had a hard life. I find that this book teaches a lot about life. Also the hope that the mothers had was inspiring to me. I never even thought that an individual can have so much hope. I would definitely recommend this book because it teaches a lot about the relationship between daughter and mother and it also give a different outlook on it. The Joy Luck Club is a book worth reading because its just an amazing story that gives you more perspectives on life.
